Happy 8th Birthday Facebook

I joined Facebook on February 12, 2008 (Yes, it took a little bit of time for me to join, since “Orkut” ruled then) and since then I have connected to over a good number of childhood friends whom I thought I would never see them again. Thanks to Facebook, the reunion with my old friends has certainly been a pleasant one.

The scam titled – “Police officer does good deed before he dies moments later” will be updated on the user’s Facebook profile automatically after the user has clicked on the link provided in the message. The following scam is spreading with the message – Incredible video of a kind Policeman who does a kind deed but tragically gets killed! Exclusive footage!”

A new hoax message is spreading on Facebook indicating that an Adobe Flash player update message pops up and it could possibly be a Trojan or a virus. It also states that clicking the update link would download the malware program and corrupt your computer. This is a hoax message spreading Facebook, and there is no such Adobe Player update that will affect your computer.
